Big news everyone!

Folks: I have big news for one and all. Susan Slutt is back! Yes, that wacky, daffy, ribald girl sleuth book that Kate Emburg and I did some time ago, based on Kate's original creation, is back with all new adventures! There will be ten in total, and they are being released as eBooks one at a time by JMS Books! They will also be available as a paperback collection entitle Susan Slutt, Girl Dick sometime next month. For now, check out the cover and buy yourself an eBook copy of the first story, "The Red Trailer Mystery."

The Ascension is out in eBook format!

My horror-thriller novel The Ascension is now available as an eBook for Kindle and other similar readers. And it's only $4.99! That's dirt cheap! I'm tempted to buy a copy at that price, and I wrote the book! Check out all the groovy details here.

The Boy Detectives is out!!!!

My new edited collection, The Boy Detectives: Essays on the Hardy boys and Others is now available from McFarland Press. You can read all about it or order a copy here. This was a very fun book to work on, and I think the collection holds up really well - the whole thing reads so seamelssly, as if it was all written by one person. Each contributor did a great job. Hope you folks enjoy the book!

Cool Cover, Check It Out!

Howdy, folks! Just a quick note here: an essay I did is forthcoming in a book by Dark Scribe Press (if you don't know them, they did a great collection called Unspeakable Horrors - check it out here at http://darkscribepress.com/pages.php?page_id=80). The book is called Butcher Knives & Body Counts: Essays on the Formula, Frights, and Fun of the Slasher Film. It includes 70 - count 'em, 70 - essays critiquing and examining the slasher genre (one of my favorites!) My essay is on the 2006 film Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon. Check out the blog for the project on their site at http://www.swingingmachetes.blogspot.com/. And the cover art is very cool, as you can see for yourself.
